Vanhall shares
certain memories and stories along the way that impacted him and became the fodder for resurrecting faith, influencing not just his theology but his career
path. From being a music director in a conservative branch of
Christianity, to church planting in a more progressive denomination.
It's not an easy transition, painful, with a lot of lost friendships
along the way.
But in the end, Vanhall collapses the distinctiveness of the faith for modern sympathies, without exposing those sympathies to the same critical reflection. And in that way, Reborn Again left me want much more of a genuinely radical vision of the faith.
