Juan Williams' We the People:  The Modern-Day Figures Who Have Reshaped and Affirmed the Founding Fathers' Vision of America explores all the ways in which modern American leaders have continued the work of the Founding Fathers -- in particular, how they've helped later generations to reset the nation's course as needed.

Williams offers a compelling blend of history with biography as he looks at the contributions of some of these latter-day patriots.  Tracing the achievements of visionaries including Thurgood Marshall, Ronald Reagan, Billy Graham, Eleanor Roosevelt, Betty Friedan, and the Stonewall activists, Williams shows why they felt compelled to act and assesses the differences they made.

It's an amazing little book that's well worth the few hours of reading on a weekend.
